Al Ameed Coffee: spent grounds in a candle gift

For Al Ameed Coffee, spent coffee grounds were incorporated into the concrete mix used for candle vessels. Material associated with the coffee brand became part of the appearance of its gift, beyond the usual printed or engraved design.

The grounds also contributed an essence or scent component to the candle wax, connecting the gift to the brand through scent as well as the vessel’s appearance.

This collaboration reused spent coffee material. It was a project-specific treatment; materials and candle details are considered individually for each new order.

Veolia Jordan: a keepsake connected to the Disi Water Project

ZConcrete created a decorative shield for Veolia Jordan incorporating soil excavated for the Disi Water Project in southern Jordan. The material provided a direct connection between the object and the project it represented.

The soil became part of the concrete mix used for the shield. The piece was developed for this project; tell us about the object and material that would suit your own brief.
